TORONTO - Some of the most active companies traded Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (14,654.94, up 120.88 points):

Fortis Inc. (TSX:FTS.IR). Utilities. Up 36 cents, or 0.97 per cent, to $37.36 on 13.2 million shares.

Athabasca Oil Corp. (TSX:ATH). Oil and gas. Down 43 cents, or 5.58 per cent, to $7.28 on 6.7 million shares.

Lundin Mining Corp. (TSX:LUN). Miner. Up 33 cents, or 5.99 per cent, to $5.84 on 3.7 million shares.

Orbite Aluminae Inc. (TSX:ORT). Miner. Up 4.5 cents, or 18 per cent, to 29.5 cents on 3.6 million shares.

Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. (TSX:CNQ). Oil and gas. Up 99 cents, or 2.31 per cent, to $43.89 on 3.2 million shares.

Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Financial services. Up 22 cents, or 1.08 per cent, to $20.53 on 3.1 million shares.

Toronto Venture Exchange (988.26, down 2.84 points):

360 VOX Corp. (TSXV:VOX). Up 11 cents, or 137.50 per cent, to 19 cents on 16.7 million shares.

Brilliant Resources Inc. (TSXV:BLT). Miner. Up 1.5 cents, or 27.27 per cent, to seven cents on 5.5 million shares.

Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. (TSX:VRX). Down 98 cents, or 0.69 per cent, to $141.98 on 598,276 shares. California-based Botox-maker Allergan officially rejected the US$48-billion hostile takeover bid by the Quebec-based company. Allergan says Valeant's bid undervalues the company, creates risks and uncertainties for its shareholders and doesn’t reflect the company's future earnings and growth potential.
